The Legend Tezuka Osamu

Some know him as the God of Manga, and as much as I do love his illustrations I am much more interested in his animations.

First of all Jumping, one of my favourite animations, which I think is wonderfully summed up by Paul Wells:

"The up and down aspect of the piece redefines the notion of linearity in narrative progression, and characterises human perception as selective, random and incidental. Suddenly, the whole order of existence is rendered as relative and ephemeral, temporary and cursory."

And now for another of my favourite, which is I just think is brilliant. I love how the cowboy is struggling just as much with the projector as he is the villain of the scene.
